GLOBAL WARMING FACT OR FICTION

Is global warming fact or fiction? It is a mystery. Though, significant changes are seen in the climatic conditions; such as 2005 being recorded as the hottest year and the sea levels rising, etc. All these variations are observed even after the conclusion of the last Ice Age. So Americans are, as of yet, not able to comprehend the answer to this question. The determination of global warming being fact or fiction baffles many and, although scientists agree that the climatic differences have arisen due to global warming, many are not ready to accept the fact that global warming will affect the human race. They see the facts but consider the effects, somehow, as fiction. However, it is an impending problem that so many changes are being noticed in the recent years. In order to protect our planet, we must open our eyes to the facts that are consuming our environment.
Whether the many disasters that we are warned of actually take place or not, global warming is a budding problem that we desperately need to deal with. The truth is obvious that the sea levels have risen and, if they continue in the same manner, the coastal areas will soon be submerged. The weather pattern changes will affect the agriculture and, thereby, the food supply. Coral reefs will be extremely affected. The most imminent aspect is regarding the methane hydrate deposits present in the oceans. If the atmospheric heat triggers the methane release, the effect will result to be terribly disastrous. Giant explosions in the ocean’s water layers could occur; damaging anything nearby. This may also lead to the extinction of various species that are already struggling in their existence today.
Sometimes it looks like the environmentalists are making a molehill into a mountain. This is felt so because there was a huge cry about the Ice age coming before the global warming. As earth is a planet, it may face changes as per the cycle of life, in general, and certain things are inevitable. Analyzing various data, we may notice that the earth has been constantly changing its effects as it is being exposed to disastrous events since the very day that it originated. We need not try to stop its activities as the earth is only experiencing the cycles of being a planet.
After going through both the ends of fact and fiction, we have to accept that nature is cyclical and there is no harm in protecting things that may go out of control, if they have not done so already. This can be done simply by conserving water, electricity, avoiding deforestation and utilizing the resources precisely.
